Art You Can Wear
My wearable collections are just that - jewelry pieces that were created with
the full intent of being worn. They need to be beautiful, comfortable,
functional, and interesting because they are those special pieces that are
used to dress up an outfit, make one feel special, delight, and entertain.
They are the pieces that get worn for a full day of work and a full night of
play, and then get worn the next day as well.
I develop these pieces by first coming up with a design concept. In most
cases the design concept tends to be a texture that I am able to create using
one of many metalsmithing techniques. Based on that, I then begin
brainstorming different ways to pull the design concept into jewelry pieces
that I would want to wear.

Sterling Silver
Based off of the Castle Bracelet in my Use Your Imagination Collection,
I create more wearable and less expensive castles that could be worn and played with.

Sterling Silver
The Fused Collection centers around the technique of fusing- joining two pieces of metal without the use of solder.
I create the texture by heating a sterling silver sheet with silver sawdust and bits on top of the sheet. The
outer part of the metal will begin to melt and form a bond with each other called a eutectic bond. Each piece is a
little different depending on how i scatter the dust and bits of silver.

The texture of the pieces is reminiscent of the look of
porous limestone caves partially submerged in water.
These caves are known as grottos.

The handcrafted chain hooks into the pendant from both ends,
making the clasp decorative and easy to access. The pendants
are interchangeable and have different varieties and color of
pearls or other stones to match your outfit.
