Biography
Having drawn her way through all of her classes in school, Colette decided to experiment and take a jewelry class before committing to illustration. As it turned out, she fell in love with the medium and enrolled in the jewelry program at Ontario College of Art and Design, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Design in 2006. After returning to her hometown of Cleveland, she continues to work in the field with her business, CAZ Designs.
Primarily using sterling silver, she is drawn to the variety of techniques that a metalsmith uses to create texture. Including but never limited to piercing, doming, fusing, chasing, and casting. When working on her art pieces, Colette draws from her love of humor and nature to create thought provoking pieces that are accessible to the viewer.
